Dr James T Goodrich – born, died, buried at the speed of light

Strange days indeed. When a distinguished, brilliant medical figure such as Dr. James T Goodrich passes away, and especially given the circumstances, as a victim of the Coronavirus during the pandemic one would expect that a professional news organization such as CNN, ostensibly to be respected for proper journalistic practices, when doing his obituary would let you know the day he was born as well as the day that he passed away. Yesterday? They reported it but they didn’t tell us when he was born, then today they bury it deep in the story where few readers will likely ever get to and there’s even a typo in front of it, and we wonder why. Perhaps to make it less likely to come up in search results?
And CNN is not the Lone Ranger on this. All the majors reported his death and if anything they jumped on it… a famous surgeon has died of the Coronavirus. Not a one of them reported his birthday or age. I went to Wikipedia and it even did not have his birth date. I did notice also that his Wikipedia article had been updated 45 minutes prior to me going there. I checked other articles on the distinguished doctor Goodrich and every one of them had been updated within the last couple of hours. Nowhere could one find his birthday. I did find one article that mentioned that he had been in Vietnam and served in the Marines and while he was there decided to go into medicine. Today, all photographs of him show a white-haired man but in real good shape as if they had just been photoshopped to make him look younger. Only the New York Post in their article yesterday gave his age as 73. Funny though, the NY POST obit piece did NOT come up in Google anywhere on the first few pages as one might genrrally expect.
Today? His Wikipedia article has been updated again and it has his birthday as the cat is out of the back. The fact is that the doctor was 73 years old and that he’s in the extremely high-risk category in terms of a higher fatality rate should one contract the Coronavirus.
well I don’t know exactly what’s going on here and or what happened but it seems to me that a lot of people made the same mistake has CNN. Or perhaps, they’re just lousy journalists, then again? Could there be a General new trend out there where someone is keeping score in hopes of blaming every death that they can on someone who doesn’t agree with their political agenda? And I’m not just saying that it’s the biased media coming from one end of the political Spectrum. there’s people out there that want to blame certain nationalities oh, there are people out there that want to blame biological terrorists, and there are people out there who want to blame anybody who doesn’t agree with their vision of what are lives are we coming in the United States of America, which just in case you haven’t realized it yet we are already in.
